My work begins with feeling \u2014 with an energy that needs form. I paint intuitively, using bold, gestural mark-making and layered texture to build histories across the surface. Colour, movement, and structure emerge through a process that is both spontaneous and responsive.<\/p>\n
Realism is not my aim; immersion is. I am drawn to atmosphere as a physical and emotional presence \u2014 wind pushing through branches, colour vibrating across a sky, air charged before a shift \u2014 and to the way emotional currents move through us, shifting hope, tension, uncertainty, and renewal. I want the viewer to feel surrounded by the work, immersed in its energy rather than standing apart from it.<\/p>\n
Across all of my work, marks accumulate and reorganize, tracing moments of intensity, containment, and directional change. Each painting holds both force and equilibrium \u2014 raw energy shaped into structure.<\/p>\n
At its core, my practice translates atmosphere \u2014 outer and inner \u2014 into immersive visual language.<\/p>\n
