About the Artist
My work begins with feeling — with an energy that needs form. I paint intuitively, using bold, gestural mark-making and layered texture to build histories across the surface. Colour, movement, and structure emerge through a process that is both spontaneous and responsive.
Realism is not my aim; immersion is. I am drawn to atmosphere as a physical and emotional presence — wind pushing through branches, colour vibrating across a sky, air charged before a shift — and to the way emotional currents move through us, shifting hope, tension, uncertainty, and renewal. I want the viewer to feel surrounded by the work, immersed in its energy rather than standing apart from it.
Across all of my work, marks accumulate and reorganize, tracing moments of intensity, containment, and directional change. Each painting holds both force and equilibrium — raw energy shaped into structure.
At its core, my practice translates atmosphere — outer and inner — into immersive visual language.
